Blank books are a great tool to have in the classroom or at home. They can be used for a variety of activities as well as for a variety of ages. These activities can be come up with at the spur of the moment or a well planned out activity/ lesson plan.

Create Your Own Books

The most common way to use a blank book is to have students or children create their own books. They can be written, drawn, or a combination of the two. They allow kids to be imaginative and creative. Other than purchasing the books, the other necessary items are pens/pencils/markers or some sort of writing/drawing utensil. Often, there are usually at least one kind of writing or drawing utensil around!

Journal

Kids can create a journal for science experiments or projects. Some example are conducting an experiment or watching a plant grow over time. They can keep track of the progress in their personal books. They can take notes about the different things that are occurring as well as create a picture to describe it more!

They can always be used to keep a creative, personal journal. Whether it be writing down thoughts or even poems/ short stories that the owner has created.

Games

Games are also a great way to use these books! The book will hold all of the rules and descriptions for the game. This is a great way to then keep these games for a long time. A few sheets of notebook paper can be first used to create an outline before writing everything down in the book. This is another great way to encourage creativity in students!

Drawing Book

Since they have a hard cover they make a great option as a drawing book. A hardbound book will prevent pages from bending or getting distorted. The drawing book can then last for a much longer time period by keeping it's pages safe. Drawing books are a great way to boost creativity!
